Tube Bending
Primary Designs tube bending department can manufacture tube to an almost indefinite range of sizes from 47mm diameter to 83mm diameter in material thickness 0.3mm-1.2mm up to 400mm long in Inconel, Stainless Steel and Titanium.
All of our tube is made to very high tolerances which is important when bending thin wall Inconel tube, each tube is welded on our German manufactured Semi Automated Precision seam welding machine by fully trained tube welding specialists.
Our tube bender tooling sizes range from 7/8” diameter to 3 1/4” diameter with a large range of metric sizes falling in between these parameters. We offer a large range radius tooling to help with the design and packaging of the complex modern exhaust.
We have a purpose built electric-hydraulic 2 axis CNC bending machine, British designed and built in conjunction with Primary Designs to enable bending tube on a sub 1D center line radius. (The radius is less than the diameter of the tube).
With this machine we can ensure that bend thinning on the outside of the bend is kept to a minimum and overall material thickness is within aero space tolerances.
This results in less material wasteage, which can often be very high on alternative tube bending machines with exotic materials such as Inconel.
As well as supplying our own manufactured tube we can offer bends made from a wide range of off the shelf tube in 304,316 and 321 tube.
All bends are then thoroughly cleaned in a hot wash detergent tank before being used for exhaust fabrication.
